Dr.
Virk has worked in rehabilitation, family practice,
and fitness-oriented chiropractic offices within the
Greater Toronto Area. Along with the Downtown
Chiropractic clinic, he maintains a secondary
chiropractic office in Mississauga.
He graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic
College in Toronto and was the recipient of the
York-Peel Chiropractic Award. In addition to
providing chiropractic care, he was trained and is
experienced in acupuncture. Prior to becoming a
chiropractor, he worked as a teacher within the
Toronto area and also enjoyed a year in Japan
teaching English.
His interest lies in the latest research related to
the spine. Dr. Virk has completed Part 1 of a
Rehabilitation Sciences Fellowship. Along with the
Downtown Chiropractic clinic, he maintains a
secondary chiropractic office in Mississauga.
He is registered and involved with the following
chiropractic organizations:

• Ontario Chiropractic Association (OCA)
• College of Chiropractors in Ontario (CCO)
• Canadian Chiropractic Protection Agency (CCPA)

Dr. C. Gus Augustatos (Chiropractor) |

Gus
graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic
College in 1978. He has faithfully served the Greek
community of Toronto for most of his career and now
shares his 28 years of experience with the downtown
population. Team work and communicating with other
health practitioners describes Dr. Augustatos’
approach to health. He is well read in medicine and
is current with the latest research in health
matters. Trigger point work, modalities, and soft
tissue therapy are some of the methods Gus utilizes
for treatment.

Nao Nasu (Registered Massage Therapist) |
|
Nao
graduated from Toronto’s renowned Kikkawa College of
Massage Therapy. Nao’s approach to massage
treatments uses a combination of Swedish massage
techniques along with Trigger Point and Myofascial
Release techniques. Nao’s expertise ranges from
elite athletes, expectant mothers, to those
suffering from chronic low back pain and headaches.
Nao is a firm believer in the power of knowledge and
often works to educate clients on the importance of
proper ergonomics and the benefits of daily
stretching routines.

Francesca Chari (Hypnotherapist) |
|
Francesca
Gigliotti Chari is co-owner and operator of
Art of Empowerment Inc. an innovative company that offers
both hypnotherapy and counselling services to both
children and adults.
Francesca is a
registered Social Worker with a Master of Social
Work
degree (1997), a Bachelor of Science Honours degree
in Social Psychology (1992), and a graduate diploma
in Gerontology (1994), from the University of
Toronto. Francesca is a Certified Hypnotherapist
through the National Guild of Hypnotists (2006) and
is a practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming,
Past Life Therapy and Paediatric Hypnosis.
Francesca's work in hypnotherapy is driven by a
belief in this innovative tool for assisting clients
achieve the changes to which they have committed.
Francesca believes that
clients are the experts of their lives and works
collaboratively with them to define the methods and
action plans that will be utilized in therapy.
Francesca is a registered clinical social worker who
has offered counselling services to individuals and
families since
1998. She specializes in issues related to mental
health and uses a clientcentered, cognitive
behavioural approach to facilitate clients' journey
to self-discovery and self-efficacy.
Francesca has
facilitated various psycho-therapeutic, self-help
support groups since 1998. In addition, her
experience with children includes implementing
integrated programs for children with developmental
challenges such as Autism and Pervasive
Developmental Delay.

Sarla Mills (Hypnotherapist / Coach) |

Mills
graduated from The University of Toronto in 1992
with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in
Psychology (Specialist), Development in Human
Learning (Major) and Anthropology (Minor). She is a
Certified Hypnotherapist (National Guild of
Hypnotists, 2006). Sarla is a practitioner of
Neurolinguistic Programming, has completed Past Life
Therapy training and Hypnosis for Children training
through the Ontario Hypnosis Centre. She also is
co-owner and operator of
Art of Empowerment Inc.
Sarla's work history
includes counselling with abused women and their
children and Case Management for adolescents and
adults through the Ministry of Community and Social
Services. Sarla also has extensive experience in the
corporate world in various capacities. This includes
5 years as a Manager of New Developments and Special
Projects for a national company.
Sarla’s philosophy of
the mind-body connection has been inspired through
her study and daily practice of meditation and yoga.
She incorporates this philosophy in her hypnotherapy
sessions to motivate her clients. Sarla is the
President Elect of her Toastmaster’s Club and enjoys
motivational speaking. She is working towards her
Competent Toastmaster’s Certification.
